Meet The Team

Bob Fiorella

Strategy, Finance Lead, CFO

Bob Fiorella is a strategic problem solver and right-hand man to CEOs and business owners contemplating or dealing with a major change; whether it's restructuring a company, building a finance team, getting a loan, setting the company up for growth, successfully selling the company in five years, etc.  He began his career as an investment banker and worked on several deals including the multibillion-dollar merger of Avery and Dennison.  Over the subsequent two decades, Bob’s career centered around the media, entertainment, packaged goods, specialty retail, technology, and software development industries where he took on roles such as SVP Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and independent board member.   Some of the better-known companies Bob worked for include The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, Movie Gallery, and Cinedigm. Bob was the lone independent director for Movie Gallery, a 3,000+ store specialty retailer, after it was bought by a hedge fund.  He was the Chief Strategy Officer for Cinedigm, a small cap public company, and was responsible for sourcing several key strategic acquisitions that tripled its stock price.  More recently, Bob has worked as a CFO with companies primarily in the technology space.  As the first CFO of Tapingo, Bob built an internal finance group that partnered with the leadership team to improve reporting and analysis which allowed the company to raise $30mm and eventually sell to GrubHub.  Bob is currently a fractional CFO with Metal Toad, an AWS consulting partner and software development company.  He is also a fractional CFO of a $30mm packaging technology company as well as an advisor to a $100mm franchising company.  In addition, Bob is a licensed M&A advisor with Seapoint Business Advisors and was part of the team that in 2020 sold a privately held fashion brand/e-commerce platform to a private equity firm for over $100mm. Bob holds a BS in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.  Bob’s “claim to fame” is appearing on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent as part of the Angel City Chorale.
